Guidelines
The
Film & Television Industry Recognition Award recognizes
individuals who have made outstanding contributions resulting in
a significant impact on the film and television industry. The nominee’s
contributions should be over several years.
Candidates
for this award are nominated and reviewed by the Award Selection
Committee in accordance with the judging criteria. A written
nomination form is completed on each nominee and kept on file
in the JEDC Film & Television Office. Awards are given
at the discretion of the selection committee only if a nominee
meets the stated criteria as set forth by the program.
NOMINATION
DEADLINE
Nominations for candidates for the award may come at any time
during the year by completing a nomination form and submitting
it to the Film & Television Office. The deadline for
the 2008 nomination is Friday, August 1st, 2008.
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY
This award symbolizes the epitome of service to the film and television
industry. Nominees should be committed to the film & television
industry and exhibit exemplary professionalism, creativity,
resourcefulness and tangible results, actively participating
over a number of years. Elected or paid city employees should
only be considered under special circumstances.
AWARD
SELECTION COMMITTEE
The Award Selection Committee shall be composed of at least one
past chairman of the Mayor’s Film & Television Advisory
Board and other board members appointed by the current chairman.
The committee will be staffed by the Director of the Film Office.
This committee will make its recommendation to the entire board
for a final vote.
